I am enjoying my time at the SCCM 2007 TAP Airlift in Redmond with Dennis and Bannie. Today it is not so clouded, it is actually a nice sunny day so I can have one of my few cigarettes outside bacause of the smoking policy..

Inside the building I saw one of Microsoft’s charity projects so I took a picture. Hopefully you can see the make of this rack because the quality is really poor. Besides the rack they have a Sun box setup running Vista :-)

When a new OS hits RTM the first thing I do is find the change in Notepad…
But this time with Windows Vista, nothing, strange because:
Windows 95, notepad is born with a 16kb or 64kb file limit, can’t remember
Windows NT4, “no” file limt
Windows 2000, you can use go to line number, great to solve those error in myscript.vbs at line 395
Windows XP, you can see the line number when enabling the status bar
But in Windows Vista….. Nothing found so far, but what did I see in my Bink.nu rss feed?
XML Notepad 2007, it looks like they woke him up and gave him an actual project to work on, check yourself, a quantum leap!

Yesterday I thought about creating a Sidebar Gadget but I didn’t know how easy it wassmile_regular. Just take a look at the Microsoft Sidebar for Windows Vista Beta 2 Gadget Development Overview. But what Gadget to create if I wanted to start easily? I looked at the Google Bar and used it for searching my personal weblog site.

Now you can search directly on my weblog, opening the search results into a new window.

You can download here. (save as WeblogSearch.gadget)
