@marc: please go ahead and translate in your language of choice. I can help you translating to Dutch though ;)

@Jed: We are several ThinApp versions ahead now. I had teh privilege to get my hands on a beta version from VMWare. I can tell you that this works and needeless to say it gives us some great possibilities!

How about having a USB stick with all your workspaces living on them, encrypted with Groove/Sharepoint Workspace 2010 standard encryption. Possibly bitlocker to go? Haven't tested that yet, but it could be worthwile.
I think de-centralized workspaces on encrypted protable media could really change the way we think about data and the demand for controlled centralized, highly secured storage facilities with high-bandwith access...
Why not use the power of cheap storage, simple network connections and out-of-the-box encryption?

In attempting to do this using clean a VM of XP SP2, Windows Installer 4.5 (per ThinApp User Guide on Office 2007) and Office Groove 2007 plus Trial Version of ThinApp 4.5...I'm able to get it to run and connect to my account but attempting to synchronize a very small workspace just hangs forever at "Downloading". This is the first site I stumbled upon with any info on this.

Anyone know of any support resources other than the VMWare communities dealing with this? Thanks Jed

I overheard some rumours about a ThinApp-ed Groove not being able to synchronise succesfully. Can you confirm that? I haven't been able to look into it myself.

Agreed 100%...Finally the new version of ThinApp 4.1.3 can virtualize Groove...I remember asking for this when it was Thinstall 2.0/3.0 days, but I didn't have a big enough push to get it looked at...Thanks heaps!! I've just tested it and can definitely confirm it works!
