GrooveIT! is a great tool for your Groove 2007 and Outlook environment. It will sync tour email from Outlook to Groove 2007.

New for the 2.0 version is:

  • Share your RSS feeds
  • Transfer your Outlook tasks
  • Create GrooveIT! rules on calendars, tasks list, contacts list, RSS feeds
  • Discover improved Groove tools including support for Groove links, attachments management, filtering
  • Build discussion threads of your emails, avoid duplicates
  • Update calendar events, contacts and tasks already published in Groove

I have been working with the 1.0 version and that was already great but with the 2.0 version things will get even much better.

The funny thing is that lately people within my company are coming up to me and ask me questions about can I store project emails in Groove and can I sync a calendar.
At first the answer was no but with GrooveIT! you can.
GrooveIT! is really filling the gap between Groove Virtual Office 3.1 and Groove 2007. The sync with Outlook was gone in the Groove 2007 client. But GrooveIT fills this gap perfectly and does even more. So if you want to try this tool look at http://www.grooveit.biz/en/home.aspx and download a trail.

Have fun and see you on IT-Forum.

See ya,

Jeroen

Need help, Jeroen. I sync-ed my Outlook calendar to Groove using a rule. Works great– it adds whatever I add to my Outlook calendar to groove, and updates times if I change them, that sort of thing. But if I completely delete something from Outlook Calendar, it is still in Groove calendar! What’s the deal? Am I doing something wrong? Please help!

P.S. Also (less importantly)– appointments I mark “private” are still exported to Groove. What’s the deal?

    Hi Christana,

I have the same problems. I will put this trough to the GrooveIT dev team.

    sorry,

    Jeroen

  4. Hi Christina,

At this stage, a event exported from Outlook to Groove is not deleted in Groove if deleted in Outlook. We will add this option in a future release.

Regarding private events : They are published in Groove, but all information is removed. Groove members only view that you are not available during this period. This behavior was requested by some of our customers.

    Hope it answers your questions.
If not, please feel free to contact GrooveIT! Team at contact [at] grooveit.biz.

    Thank you.

    Hi Fabrice,
Thanks for your note. Do you have any idea when GrooveIt! may be releasing a new version that would auto-delete items you delete from your Outlook calendar?

Also, I think it would be helpful if you could SELECT what you want to do with your private appointments– on a case by case basis. Maybe it’s helpful for people to know I have something going on from 11-11:45 am and will be unavailable, but it’s not helpful for a “Private event” msg to be displayed on the day of my mother’s birthday. :)

Addressing these features would make GrooveIt! useful for our organization. I’m having a hard time recommending it to my peers at this time.

    Thanks,
    Christina

  6. A new release (V2.5) is planned in June.

I reported your feature requests and will check with my team to try to take them into consideration ASAP. At this stage, i can not guarantee they will be included in the first 2.5 build as we already have a lot of other features / improvments being added. Will keep you posted…

  7. Christina says:

    please do, thanks!!

Yes, I am sure that “private message” on your mothers b-day was not meant to be floating aroung the Internet. Oh, the guy you are trying to attain info on (William Woodruff) is a convicted felon and back in prison. Sorry to hear he is your father.
