Hello,
Is there any other link I can download the instructions, because this link doesn't work ?
(the initial from Paul Davey ?? )

Generally, how much processing power do you need to operate this in a VM host ?
(how much Ram, what CPU etc ?)

Thank you in advance,
Panagiotis

Hi Luke,
When I turned on VT it worked like a charm, or at least it booted fast. Maybe you should search for issues with enabling VT on your HP.
If I find some info I'll post it here.

Regards,
Stefan

I have this setup on a HP Compaq nc8430. It worked but it's incredibly slow... I have allocated 768 MBs to the guest VM and I have VT turned on... but it is acting like VT isnt working or something because the performance is terrible. It takes 45 minutes just to boot up.

If you want to enable VT on a Dell Latitude 820 just open your bios settings and go to Post Behavior and enable Virtualization.

You can find a screenshot here:

Just tried this on the GPR Dell Latidude D620 and it works great. I'm now running ESX in a VM, VI Client on the local laptop and a W2K3 guest on the ESX server. Had to enable VT in the BIOS of the laptop first.
